You’ve spent time, money and no doubt a lot of thought in producing your video for your business, you may have created it yourself or you may have employed an agency.

However without the “add a description” being correctly and extensively filled in, well the end result is you’ve lost a lot of FREE SEO (search engine optimisation | getting found on Google) and by extension, you’ve lost a lot of potential customers.

Consider this , in today’s world 80% of people on line are millennials, if you cannot be found in one or two clicks, in their minds you cannot be found.

Getting found on Google is hard, it’s exactly like finding a needle in a haystack, Google is also filled with so much noise, however the more needles with your details that you put into that haystack the more easier it will be to find you.

So that is the problem, however by reading the rest of this blog, I will supply to you the solution.

1. If you’re using a production company have them upload your videos with YOUR Calls To Action on their YouTube channels, these will be added in the “add a description section”. You will need to supply them your Call To Action sign off.

IMPORTANT when writing your sign off, the www.website address is read as cat, dog, the. On YouTube in order to create the hyperlink your website MUST be prefixed with the hhtp:// EG: https://www.mdvs.com.au

2. Make sure your video is also uploaded to YOUR YOUTUBE BUSINESS CHANNEL, if you don’t have one, create one and make sure you fill in all the about details, these channels are FREE and as YouTube is owned by Google, well Google like it when you use their services. To create a page is easy, YouTube have made it user friendly, simply follow the prompts, but we get that some people haven’t the time or the care to set one up and therefore if you need help, email me at mdvs@iinet.net.au for a $350.00 fee we can create one for you, complete with photos, calls to action details and relevant SEO that will get your YouTube Channel looking professional and be searchable in a Google Search.

IMPORTANT regarding your Call To Action Signoff.
If you’re uploading to your channel via the phone then save your Call To Action Signoff in the notes section of your phone so all you need to do each time you upload a video is copy and paste it into the “add a description”. If you’re uploading your video via a desktop save the Call To Action onto a word document, under a file name “YouTube Call To Action”, that way all you need to do when uploading your video is cut and paste it.

3. You must give your HEADER a relevant description, the header is what Google matches with what people have placed in the Google search bar, so many people make the mistake of putting in their business names here, but as this is where YouTube MATCHES up with what a person has put in the search bar, rarely will it be your business name. Think about it, when you’re looking for a product or service that you want to know more about unless you’re specifically after the business you’ll actually type in random key words, so consider the header to be written with “what is your customers looking for”, what are your customers random key words.

Suggestions may be…

• Packages to Bali from Perth for $500 including air fare and accommodation.
• How do I get a non-bank Loan for a Car
• How can I make Facebook work for my business.
Does that make sense?

Further if you can and if it is relevant make the search LOCAL
• Facebook Training for Businesses in the Rockingham Area.
• Getting a business loan in Perth
• Best Fruit and Vegetables in Rockingham.

TIP: The more information regarding keywords you can put in your header the more likely Google/YouTube will match you up.

4. Make sure your uploaded video is listed to PUBLIC.

5. Don’t waste an SEO opportunity, add a message to the upload so it also goes on your Google Page, that is on the right hand side of the page, if you’re uploading via a desktop.

6. Now let’s talk about the Description. Each time you upload a video you will need to write a sentence or two that relates directly to that video, this will be a more in-depth wording that compliments the header of this video, keep it simple, short and to the point. Then always finish off your video with a templated Call To Action Sign off. Here is an example of one of my YouTube uploads.

HEADER Helping you with Content ideas for your Facebook posts.
DESCRIPTION Here are some ways to develop ideas and content for your Facebook posts. Grab a pen and paper and get ready to come up with some points so when you’re ready to post you’re not sitting there thinking, now what do I write.
Thank you for Watching! (then here following from now is my templated sign off that I use on my videos and my blogs, and sometimes I adapt it for my Instagram).

7. Put the YouTube Link you’ve just created onto your social media sites and remember to reuse it every few months, the content on your YouTube Channel should be shared and reshared every few months. After all if it is relevant and generic about your business now then it is again in a few months, obviously if it is a Christmas Video then showing it in June is a moot point.

8. Why not make a blog out of the video, write a few sentences into your blog then add the YouTube URL/link into the blog and invite people to watch it.

Thanks again for taking the time to read my marketing tips, as always its been a pleasure writing them.
